Ray's Indoor Mtn Biking Park Trip 12-28-06 : Pictures first..then Movies ....Competing with the Hugh trucks on Route 80, Darryl, Rick, Ray, John & I trekked to “Ray’s Indoor Mtn Bike Park”…..Inspired by all of Ray’s trail building & media hype, our group was not disappointed…..John was the only one to get hurt – being up about 2.5’, he endoed, flipping on to his shoulder & back where his camera got wiped out by the blunt force trauma, but continued to ride(He’ll pay for it tomorrow.)….Check out the videos... (Darryl, Rick, Ray, John - The original movies I have are great at full screen….I’ll see that you get copies.)

Tussey Down Hill Dave Don Darryl Rob Kevin12-17-06 : David, Darryl, Don & Rob rode Tussey just before Christmas in 48degree weather...fantastic!!! We rode upper Longberger, with Darryl & Don sweeping the length of a rather large log & Don, Darryl, & I cleaned Three Bridges, & the rocks following them.....Heading up Laurel Run Road heading for Shingle town trail, Dave's crank broke off, so he was done & headed back down to the parking lot....We ran into Keven & he rode with us for a while....We did the down hill of Shingle town rather quickly so Dave wouldn't have to endure the chilly air while waiting for us in sweaty cloths...I crashed once...back up on the steed & onto the Darryl's shuttle truck....Don took us to the bicycle shop & promptly put a new Steel bolt in Dave's crank instead of an aluminum as it was...so we all had a great ride except of course Dave...Well that's biking, sometimes there's problems.

David's New Specialized Enduro Expert Bike : David bought it 11-24-06 from Don Andrews at The bicycle Shop in State College...I have to thank don for setting Dave up with one sweet ride....I rode it over my terrain park & it makes it all so-o-o easy...it's at least 30% easier to glide over obstacles than my 2004 Specialized Enduro Expert. There is 6" travel front & rear, 8" rotor in the front, Chain Tensioner, plus other great features....Click on the "O"(for Original size of the Pic) to see up close details.

Rock Run Moshannon 9-21-06 : This was Matt's first ride on this trail & he said it was awesome as we all knew....there are a few photos & several vids....We couldn't play too long since the days are getting shorter, so we will get back here when we can play hooky from work...Rock Run was a great ride to test out my hurt leg condition & it passed, but I could have used a a little oxygen....

Tussey Down Hill Levi, Brock & Jen 8-31-06 : Brian, Brock, Levi, Rick, Darryl, Jen, don & I enjoyed a great down hill we've done before....Newest Rock Ridge extention...down to Longberger, which some did the upper section also...There's a vid of Rick going over a giant log pile...down to 3 bridges, which for the life of me I could not complete 3 bridges this time...then I believe everyone else made all three bridges... after some mishaps, crossing the big rock garden, video of Brian crossing it & Don, half way in, Endos ....Up Laurel Run & down to Shingletown with all its fun rocks, rolly polly terrain.... Back up to get the cars...Then after Rick, Levi, Brock & Brian leave I locked my car keys in the van...SHIT!!!! SHIT!!! now what!?!? Well the mountain geniuses to the rescue....for 40 min. Darryl Don, Jen & I worked on breaking into my van...Jen was on top of the roof with a flash light in her mouth fishing an old radio antenna while the rest of us pried the door wide enough for her to finally unlock & we all screamed as though we had been set free from a death threating event......Thank-you, Thank-you, THANK-YOU!!!!! Now on to Wings & Beer!!!

The 1st annual "Single Track Minds" party by the Ancient One & Edie @ their Mtn Bike Terrain Park. : You people made our day!!!!!! We enjoyed all the fun everyone seemed to be having in the Ancient One's Terrain Park which is in our 180' x 80' home & yard. The "Picnic Table Jump" was a huge success...much more than I had hoped....It was so-o-o easy...just pedal like hell then coast up the ramp & hang on...No hopping or fancy maneuvering, then land like a feather on the down ramp.....Thanks again for all the fun you shared with us!!! By the way the movies are a lot better on my computer than in this site, so I'll get copies on CD to each of ya.

The Wilderness 101 : Finished!!!!. Down load what ya want....I'll leave them in here until July 20th, 2007...Then they'll be copied to disk & taken off except for a few to represent the event....The first pic is the first guy to get to the "Three Bridges"(#5 Brad Cole. 3rd place).....the second picture is the second person(& was the winner of the race, Harlan Price.) to arrive & so on..... the pictures are in the order as I took.... All the Videos are the last 9 at the end, including the #255 Video of the couple on a tandum bike that aced the rocks after "Three Bridges".... Use the the "Slide Show" button to view the pictures if you have cable......Their not perfect quality, since I had to use an ISO of 400 , because of the low light level.

LHORBA Annual Blue Knob Club Ride 8-6-06 : It was one of the most beautiful days of the summer…not hot or cold….the type that makes you want to take deep refreshing breathes. My torn muscle kept me from the trails, but Edie & I loved getting the food ready for our kids to come back from dancing on the trails….Sorry there are no trail pics, but since I wasn’t on them, here’s a link to the trails that LHORBA recorded a couple of weeks ago. http://www.lhorba.org/album/ sorry Kevin Bergman wasn’t in any of the pics…don’t know how I missed him. As far as I could tell, Pittsburg, Johnstown, Tyrone, Allport, & State college Areas were well represented The Chicken, Hog Beans(Edie Fixed), corn, cakes & side dishes certainly made the visiting afterwards great.

Tussey with Matt & Ken 7-20-06 : We have a new member, Ken, with us & Matt is with us again.....We road up Camp Trail to the gas line & up Tussey Ridge trail & it's Extention...down Longberger & across three Bridges...10.5 mi of pure bliss. Looks like we're all making three bridges anymore???

Smay's Run 7-15-06 Darryl,Don,Ray,Rob,Blueberries : The biggest change on this ride is the incredible amount of ferns, & lots of sweet blueberries....We rode up to the look outs & rode the same trails back, which we hadn't done before...turned out to be 10 mi of great trail riding.

Tussey Down Hill Dave & Krista 7-8-06 : This a great down hill (about 4/5) & is one our our clubs favorits.....the ride is down longberger, across three bridges(3mi.), up Laurel run rd(1.2mi), down Roaring Run & to the car(3.8)...for a total of 8 mi of pure pleasure.

Ridge Trail & John Wert 6-22-06 : Brian, Darryl, John, Rick, & Rob road Ridge trail & both extentions, plus John Wert...well, I got through John Wert..was off as much as on the bike. The rest of the guys liked it but I decree "From hence forth I shall never set foot nor tire upon that killer trail".....Notice the burned out areas of Ridge trail...looks like a lot of those logs could be used in to inhance the trail.

Down Hilling @ Ski Denton 6-17-06 : My first true down hilling experience...WoW!!! Let's do again!! The URL http://www.skidenton.com/ Some of the steepness was scarey, but doable & fun...One of the trails we did was fast , with lots of rollers to get air on(no videos of that one, sorry)..So the pictures are first, then the videos....They are truely trying to make this a place to want to come back to.... Then the Elk, yea an elk, about 800 lb crosses the road 1 hr from my house...wish I had a better photo of him, but he was so magestic as he pranced across the road...the trip was worth it just to see him... then the flood area.. read the plack & see the ruins.

Tussey 6-15-06 Jen & Broc : First, sorry but I accidentally deleted all the pictures & some of the videos, but there are still some good ones left....This was one of those fun rides you don't forget. Let's see, Brian, Darryl, Rick, Jen, Broc(is new), Don the military man, John, Kevin the pres., & myself started off with the newest Ridge Trail extension & a little ways into the main trail, were these cool rocks that I only have a video of Rick doing.....Then down to Longberger, which some of us did the upper section also...down to the jump near 3 bridges...then I believe everyone made all three bridges, after some mishaps.....across the big rock garden, which I made for the first time....Up Laurel Run & down to Shingletown with all its fun rocks, rolly polly terrain....good adult beverage...& it's off to Champs for goodies till midnight...absolutely great evening.

Blue Knob 6-8-06 : Right to left - Troy, Brian, Darryl, Todd, (Rick & Ray whom somehow are not in the group picture), & I had one hell of a good time. Hopping up & off boulders, picnic tables, dodging trees on extremely twisty, fast descents.....getting air on roller coaster trails that were too much for the brakes to hold & laughing at our in ability to tame all those rocks we kept crashing on.....I only did 4 endos, & got to see Darryl do the most spectacular endo I've ever seen....Talking about Darryl, he even caught Troy's bike when he bit the dust....not to be out done, Rick caught Troy's bike on another of his crashes.....Check out the vids of some of the action....Thanks Troy!!!!!

Peek-a-boo Trail 6-7-06 : John, Darryl, Rick & Rob ventured out into the trail with lots of log crossings & rock gardens. We especially liked the the large boulder across the road from our cars, practicing hoping up on it & wheeling off....would love to have it in my yard!! check out the vids.

Blue Knob - Troy, John, Craig : It started off dry & got a few pics & movies, but the clouds cryed on us...had to put the camera away & just hang on... those guys flew down those trails...down roller coaster way too fast, just grazing a huge bolder...then down Rocken Ridge like blue blazes shaken my eyes so much I could hardly see, especially with the mud & rain..then Woooo!!! into an area of rocks & not knowing their true size...couldn't stop, so just put my ass behind the seat & closed my eyes...& hey I made it. Thanks Craig & Troy for giving John & I one GREAT ride.....Oh yea & that Railbender beer is an awsome brew. See ya Craig, drink some suds & kiss a few girls for us, while you're skiing the mountains of New Zealand.

Smay's Run, Dave & Krista 5-27-06 : Dave, Krista, Brian(who was kind enough to lead the ride, & me, rode the beautiful trails at Moshannon forest....I definitely need to get back there more to get to know my way around, they certainly are interesting trails. Brian had his 29 incher back in service....We all had a great time, but unfortunately had to cut short because of other engagements.

Blue Knob 8-3-06 : Brian, John, Troy, Mike & Rob enjoyed this ride without all the heat we thought we'd have...Once we turned off Tower road onto Mountain view Road & onto Look-out Trail the heat seemed to disappear....Well, another great ride....The rides get to be like, just a "Matter of Fact"...but it's just that most of them are great, sharing the trails with all their different terrain, fascination, challenge & beauty...of course it's with people you choose to ride with, so it is a big deal!
